Savannah gets her powers from a chemical spill and along the way changes lives and finds her true purpose, while the cast of characters also evolves into their higher purposes as well.ĭebra Anastasia delivers an entertaining, scientific but not hard to grasp story that at it's core delivers a fundamental yet important message. There’s an assortment of fantastically written characters who add layers to this super-heroine type tale.

He starts out as such a cold bastard and slowly through each interaction with Savannah he evolves into something more than the shallow man he was. Silas’ interactions with Savannah and his growth as a character were a very big highlight in the story for me. "You will be mine, you vicious bitch." He was strangely, irrationally drawn to her." He black mails her into coming with him and is attracted to her fight and is connected to the accident that gave her the powers she has been wielding. This course of action gives Savannah a purpose until the day she is taken by Silas Sagan. She finds that when faced with a person with such an aura she has insurmountable strength and so she becomes a vigilante of sorts.įor each bad person she battles she receives another memory that's been forgotten of time spent with her husband and daughter. To her shock, she then notices that she can see people’s auras and in this part of town she encounters some people sporting red ones, which means that you’re an evil or very bad person. The idea of having someone else do it for her spurs her to enter a bad part of town hoping someone will do it for her. Savannah Raine wants so desperately to hold onto her family yet can’t fully end her own life. Every afternoon, my mind gets to take a bath in lava.

It’s about a mother who survived a car crash that killed her husband and young daughter and she’s struggling with her purpose and will to live ever since. Debra Anastasia adds a very different type story to her writing collection with this novel.
